Hi. Welcome to what I am calling my
I add new stuff at the top.

Stuff Page
What you'll find here is just about anything that
comes to my mind and I can't figure out where else to
put it. Some are funny, some are serious and I sometimes
get a little sentimental. I hope you find something you like.

Today I thought about my years as a Boy Scout.
So I wrote what I call:

Boy Scout

A friend sent me a really cute E-mail that I call

Ice Cream

Have you ever wondered why so my cat owners have more
than one cat? I used to wonder, but now i am one of them

Cat Tales

Should you really give you cat a bath? Read this first.
It may change you mind.

Cat Bath

Listening may not be a man's thing, but just sometimes, you can
hear some wonderful gems from the least expected places.

Fall Leaves

Years ago I wrote an article for a newspaper
in Louisiana. Warning this one is a little sentimental
Mother's_Day

Next is another of the sentimental ones
(I guess I had to get them out of my system first).
This also was printed in a newspaper in Louisiana.
Valentine's Day

I one time, and still do, stand up and defend our teachers.
This was written for them and I think I can say that
it still applies.
Teachers

OK, now for some fun. You have guessed by now that I lived
in Louisiana for some time. While there I worked at an Electric
Power Plant near St. Francisville, LA. During the evening shifts
sometimes the mind wanders and looks for things to amuse itself.
Here is what I call
Inter-office Memo

Back to the serious side again. The Russians had a great tragedy
in August 2000. The loss of the Kursh with all Hands.
As many of you know, I am a retired US Navy Submarine sailor.
A few of my thoughts about this can be found in:
My Thoughts about
The Kursk

I guess that this is the spot to put one of my favorite hymns.
I first heard this when I joined the US Navy.
It has a special meaning to me and many other sailors.
It was originally written for Travelers and the Absent.
The Navy Hymn

Sometimes you think you are in control. But then....
I Am Not Addicted

Sometimes, out of nowhere, memories jump up and smack
you right in the face. Something like that happened to me
